The annual meeting of the Calcasieu Historical Preservation Society was held on Thursday, January 21st at the Cash and Carry on the corner of Broad Street and Enterprise Boulevard.

The Cash and Carry is an example of adaptive reuse of a historic bulding.  In addition to the social, complete with refreshments, a tour of the facility was provided.

The program focused on the process of placing a structure on the National Register.

As is the Preservation Society's tradtion at the first annual meeting of the year, Landmark Awards were presented and new officers were elected.
